We bring you a heartfelt wish from an Imam in Malawi for desks and blackboard for their place of learning—where young hearts gather daily to learn the words of Allah and the values of Islam.
At present, students sit on the floor, sharing limited space as they try to read, write, and memorise. The absence of proper desks and a blackboard makes learning difficult and tiring, especially for younger children who are eager to learn but lack the basic tools to support them.
The wish is simple, yet powerful: desks and a blackboard.
With these, students will be able to sit comfortably, focus better, and engage more deeply in their Islamic studies. A blackboard will allow the teacher to explain lessons clearly, write Qur’anic verses, and guide students step-by-step in their learning.
