#145 A Wish for a Borehole for his Community in Zimbabwe

A needy Imam from Zimbabwe wishes for a borehole for him and his community. He says, 'A borehole, water is life, and water is everything. At my stand, I don't have any source of water, so I go next door, where they have wells, and they offer us to come anytime. My family is now stressed because one day my wife was told by one of our neighbours that if you fetch a lot of water, it's better you come with your cups and drink from the well. One day we heard them gossiping, saying Pastor and his wife couldn't afford a borehole. What a shame. Honestly, this breaks my wife, my family, and even me because many times we try to raise the money but can't afford it, and it's true. I wish to have a borehole, and by Allah, I will put some taps out side so that anyone passing can drink. Even the neighbours will come fetch water and will see that it's the time of Allah, and we Muslims are generous people. That will save my family from being bullied and gossiped about, and they will be safe because there will be no reason to go around next door like beggars.' (Non-Zakah)
